Water is Life!
In 2019 we saw a great need for clean water in King'ong'o. Water is a basic necessity that we too often take for granted, but the people of this community have been using a murky river and shallow hand-dug wells as their only water source for years. We made mention during itineration that we would like to drill a well in the community. Little did we know, God wanted it too, and soon. We began in March 2020 and had the water available to the public by the first of May that same year. Below you can see a bit of the progress of this significant project. Drilling the WellAfter an assessment and a report that we would hit water at a depth of 50 meters, we were excited. However after going over 100 meters and seeing no sign of water, we were beginning to worry. God is faithful though and provided all that we had need of in a miraculous way! | Water is found, and the pump is being installedWe finally hit water at 140 meters (459 feet), which took us extremely over budget for just the first stage of our project. After a plea on social media, God showed himself in an amazing way! We had taken in over $10,000 within 24 hours to complete this project. He is faithful!! | Building a tower for reserve tanksA 60 meter tower to hold a 10,000 liter tank. Our water supply is amazing and pushing 6,000 liters per hour (26 gallons per minute), so we can fill a 10,000 liter tank in under 2 hours! |

Finishing the tower | 2 Water tanks to serve the communityOur water pressure is so great, we needed to install a second tank as the water continues to pump for hours after the pump itself has been switched off. When the 10,000 liter tank is full we turn off the pump and let the rest flow into a second 5,000 liter tank. We have taps extending past the wall and poured a concrete pad for the community to use in washing clothes or gathering water out of the mud and dirt road. | Living water! |
Provided by YOUThis work could not have been done without the generous support of our family and friends back home. Thank you for all you do to see the work of God go forward. You are a very important part of Project Holy Nations!! | Towers on our propertyThe view from the inside of our property, where God has ordained as a place dedicated to Him to provide LIFE, and that more abundantly! |
